Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others.

As the patriots of seventy-six did to the support of the Declaration of Independence, so to the support of the Constitution and Laws, let every American pledge his life, his property, and his sacred honor; let every man remember that to violate the law, is to trample on the blood of his father, and to tear the charter of his own, and his children's liberty.

Let reverence for the laws, be breathed by every American mother, to the lisping babe, that prattles on her lap; let it be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges; let it be written in Primers, spelling books, and in Almanacs; let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls, and enforced in courts of justice. And, in short, let it become the political religion of the nation; and Let the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the grave and the gay, of all sexes and tongues, and colors and conditions, sacrifice unceasingly upon its altars.

While ever a state of feeling, such as this, shall universally, or even, very generally prevail throughout the nation, vain will be every effort, and fruitless every attempt, to subvert our national freedom.

Ralph lectures the Peace Movement

Oh my God… its Ralph!

Welcome back... from wherever the hell you've been the last five years.

So you're here to lecture the peace movement, is that right? You just pop up - out of nowhere - and coincidently, just when an election is getting into full swing. Because you love elections, don't you Ralph?

Here you are... talking about the Bush administration and the war. Five years have gone by and you suddenly have an opinion? The peace movement isn't working (shocker) and you have suggestions?

Well, I suppose you would know. You're one of the architects of this disaster. Apparently Al Gore wasn’t so lousy after all, eh? By comparison? Eh Ralph?

Oh I'm not blaming the entire disaster on you, of course - you didn't flip the Diebold bits and bytes that swung the election results in Bush's favor. You simply allowed the GOP to use you. They worked tirelessly to get your name onto the ballot in sensitive states, and then you relentlessly attacked... Al Gore, a fellow environmentalist. You split the ticket, and you let the GOP help you in any way that they could.

Yes, Al Gore the life long environmentalist wasn't green enough for you.

I hear you even plan to run again, if Hillary happens to win the Democratic primary. How oddly convenient for the GOP. By the way, I'm no great fan of Hillary Clinton myself - would never vote for her. Its just that this is... so interesting. GOP paying your way again?

Benedict Nader - what the hell are you doing here? And why the hell would we listen to you now?

By the way Ralph, I’ve been meaning to thank you. If Gore had been elected President in 2000, he never would have made “An Inconvenient Truth,” which has done more to jump-start efforts to curb global warming WORLD WIDE than just about anything else. Certainly more than anything you’ve ever done - ‘Mr Green’.

Gore turned out to be a ‘maker’. You proved to be the ultimate ‘breaker.’

Granted, this Bush administration has been horrific. Hopefully we’ll survive it. But if we do, we’ll certainly have learned something. It appears that in this country, we only learn by getting our teeth knocked out. One lesson we've learned, etched in blood, is that everyone - everyone - is willing to use us, lie to us, manipulate us.

Its a shame so many had to die in Iraq, but hey… you made your point. You knew you’d never get elected, but you threw the entire nation under the neocon bus, and you made your point. Yes, Ralph: democracy is broken. You win.

And then, when the election fiasco was over and we began our five year descent into darkness - you disappeared! Where’d ya go? I was beginning to think the GOP had paid you off; that you were on an extended vacation in the Bahamas. Once the Bush administration proved beyond a shadow of a doubt (as you no doubt knew they would) that we desperately need a third party option - where were you? Why weren't you out there, educating the people and building that party? Because we could really use it now. Instead, you vanished.

You’re a little late to this party. Welcome to the peace movement, already in progress. Oh - you have something to say?
