Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others.

As the patriots of seventy-six did to the support of the Declaration of Independence, so to the support of the Constitution and Laws, let every American pledge his life, his property, and his sacred honor; let every man remember that to violate the law, is to trample on the blood of his father, and to tear the charter of his own, and his children's liberty.

Let reverence for the laws, be breathed by every American mother, to the lisping babe, that prattles on her lap; let it be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges; let it be written in Primers, spelling books, and in Almanacs; let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls, and enforced in courts of justice. And, in short, let it become the political religion of the nation; and Let the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the grave and the gay, of all sexes and tongues, and colors and conditions, sacrifice unceasingly upon its altars.

While ever a state of feeling, such as this, shall universally, or even, very generally prevail throughout the nation, vain will be every effort, and fruitless every attempt, to subvert our national freedom.

Yo! Al...

Yo Al: Check out this current Live Vote out on MSNBC.

Honestly... I don't really care if you've fallen 'out of love' with politics, although God knows, I can certainly understand it. Personally, I hate modern politics. Do you know why? Because we the people are at the mercy of largely ignorant and highly partisan politicians.

We need a leader that is not a simple 'party politician.' We need a statesman in our nation's highest office. A man or woman that cares more about the future of democracy and world climate (the very survival of mankind on this planet) than mere partisan politics. A man or woman who puts the needs of the many before the greed of the few.

We cannot seem to get that with either party these days. And our corporate media has only exacerbated the problem. This, in a nutshell, is 'modern politics.' Party before country. Anyone can see the results, the fallout. Even our bridges are now decaying and falling down.

So yes - I can absolutely see why you fell 'out of love' with politics. Has it occurred to you that you, and maybe only you, could actually fix it? You could get elected. You could restore the balance of power in our three branches of Federal government, restore our Constitution and promote the sweeping legislation that would enable our country to finally lead on climate change reversal; not roadblock other nations that are already trying to make the change themselves.

Mr Gore: I hate politics too. If I'm out here writing about things I hate every single day, you can assume the office we elected you to hold in 2000. You ran for office: we elected you.

Your country needs you. The entire world, at the mercy of this 'super power'... needs you.

You owe us 4 years, buddy.
