Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others.

As the patriots of seventy-six did to the support of the Declaration of Independence, so to the support of the Constitution and Laws, let every American pledge his life, his property, and his sacred honor; let every man remember that to violate the law, is to trample on the blood of his father, and to tear the charter of his own, and his children's liberty.

Let reverence for the laws, be breathed by every American mother, to the lisping babe, that prattles on her lap; let it be taught in schools, in seminaries, and in colleges; let it be written in Primers, spelling books, and in Almanacs; let it be preached from the pulpit, proclaimed in legislative halls, and enforced in courts of justice. And, in short, let it become the political religion of the nation; and Let the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the grave and the gay, of all sexes and tongues, and colors and conditions, sacrifice unceasingly upon its altars.

While ever a state of feeling, such as this, shall universally, or even, very generally prevail throughout the nation, vain will be every effort, and fruitless every attempt, to subvert our national freedom.

Impeachable

Have Bush and his neocon cronies committed impeachable crimes? I'd say a better question is... how many will it take?

Impeachable... let us count the ways:

  1. Invading a country that posed no threat to the U.S.
  2. Misleading Congress and the American people into supporting a war on false pretenses
  3. Acting in direct opposition to the Bill of Rights and Constitution, which Bush swore to uphold
  4. Seizing U.S. citizens on U.S. soil and holding them indefinitely - without charges, a trial, an attorney or even the right to remain silent
  5. Illegally spying on American citizens without a court order
  6. Breaking Geneva Conventions by torturing prisoners
  7. Abolishing habeas corpus
  8. Issuing hundreds of signing statements and indicating that he (Bush) did not intend to uphold any portion of any bill that he did not like
  9. Authorizing the use of depleted uranium shells in Iraq, thus endangering the life and health of Iraqi civilians and U.S. Troops for generations to come
  10. Authorizing the use of phosphorus bombs against Fallujah, a civilian target
  11. Deliberately blowing the cover of a CIA agent to get revenge on her husband, a whistle blower
  12. Using party email systems to avoid leaving behind possibly incriminating presidential documents (in violation of the Hatch Act)
It is very likely that the Bush administration deliberately destroyed Rove's emails - before or after they were subpoenaed - and it is quite likely that before too much longer, we will see proof that the Republican Party stole the 2004 election in Ohio and actual documents that lead directly to Rove and the White House.

We already know they stole the election in 2000... from these very Democrats who refuse to do anything about it.

Madam Pelosi... what will it take for you to put impeachment on the table? You're making Neville Chamberlain look like a bulldog by comparison...
