Which Cheney is this?

My hat is off to Rex Manning over at Daily Kos for digging out this 1994 Dick Cheney interview. I was astounded when I watched it.

Which Cheney is this...? Was this, reasonable Cheney suddenly possessed by war demons after taking office? Or did this 1994 Dick Cheney simply state what everyone (at the time) expected him to say?

Will the real Dick Cheney please stand up...
